Thanks Avnet, I did it, I finally finished my private thanks to you. It had been years since I had started, and waited for the best at the last. I picked up right where I left off and if it wasn't for the training at Avnet I still would not have completed my goal. Avnet thanks for your through training and patience.

Professionalism,it still does exist!! Hats off to the four bar epaulet team at The Aviator Network. I'm a private pilot who owns my own Piper Warrior, that I used for my pilot training. I had called around to other flight schools in the area, and the fact that I had access to an air plane and wanted to use it for flight training, made me an unappealing student prospect(no A/C rental revenue generated). Dan at AVNET actually had the oposite approuch and theory about a student flying their own plane. "No one respects the equipment and flight process more than the owner" he is right. The preparation that I received during my flight training really did pay off. I can truly say that I was given the training necessary to take both my written and FAA check ride with confidence. I scored a 98% on the written, and actually had the FAA designate examiner tell me it was refreshing to have a student take the Oral and Practical test that was prepared. I'm now working on my instrument rating, and have no doubt in the ability of Aviator Network to provide the same excellent and professional training for this phase also.

I got my tailwheel endorsement in N23007 and Single Engine Commercial training from Dan Gryder. His love for flying is infectious. His flying skills are amazing and his instruction techniques are incredible. Dan is without a doubt one of the best instructors I have had in my 32 years of General Aviation, Military, and Part 121 flying.

The experience of reviving my currency in the DC-3 was great due to Dan's expertise and personality. He runs a fine operation. The accomodations were just right as well. Nice professional job! Dave Liscomb

4-22-2004, I fly Boeing 777's for American Airlines. Today I flew Dan's DC-3 for the first time. 1.5 hrs. of more fun than you can imagine. It took me back to a time I could of never imagined. Radial engines, tailwheel, Windows open and low and slow across the Georgia countryside. If you love airplanes, you love flying the DC-3 and you love flying with Dan Grider. Blue Skies Terry Barker

Just read the article in Custom Planes and it was refreshing to see that someone still knows how to train on tail wheel airplanes. I agree if they can perform good wheel landings under all conditions the rest is easy. During my career I have flown in excess of ten thousand hours in tail wheel airplanes, from the J3 to the Super DC3 ( over five thousand hours DC3's ) Chuck Ellsworth

Read the article in the June issue of Custom Planes and signed on to take advanced tailwheel training with Dan Gryder during May 5 thru 8. As an active CFI with over 1100 hrs. of dual given, I am flat out impressed by Dan's instructional expertise. I left feeling very confident in the skills that he helped me generate. Dan is enormously helpful and very generous with his knowledge and time. Good tailwheel training is getting hard to find. You'd be hard pressed to do better than Dan Gryder and the Aviator Network.

Dan has more passion for flying than anyone I have ever met. Even more impressive is his ability to teach a student how to do it and impart confidence in the student at the same time. No One does it better. Anyone in the Atlanta area should feel blessed to have such an aviation asset in their backyard!! Hats off to you Dan. I can see your operation becoming the best in the country at what you do with your philosophy and integrity.

MANY THANKS to Dan Gryder for donating his private plane and his services to fly animals, victims of the hurricanes, from Florida to safety here in GA. Thanks for his compassion towards animals!!! I wish we had more people like him in this world... it would be a much better place.

Thanks for a great website. Please add Puerto Rico to your states. I recently had an opportunity to fly in and briefly fly a DC-3. What a great airplane! The excitement of flying a great historic airplane over the beauty of the Caribbean islands was an experience I can't put into words. Keep up the good work.

Learned of your site by visiting douglasdc3.com and have great affection for DC3's. Flew with Pat and Doug Epps, and Bob Harless in Don Brook's airplane, N99FS, used for the 1989,90, and 92 Greenland Expeditions to recover "Glacier Girl". Keep up the good work! Neil Estes

We were graciously invited aboard N143D by Dan as it was getting the herpa decals applied at the Griffin Airport. Being locals, we often check the airport for interesting craft and keep track of N143D. We are also close enough to hear it flying over and always rush out to check it. Sad to see N33D sitting there without its engines. Forwarded the "round engines" email to Dan. Regards.

As a former member of the 440th troop Carrier Group Crew Chief, just to look at the picture of a C-47 makes my blood tingle. I flew in all major and minor skirmishes in Europe during WW11. No other aircraft will ever equal the old Gooney Bird. I was assigned Aircraft #43100935 in Indiana, it took me to England via the Southern Route and 18 months later brought it back to Florida, where I deplaned for my last trip. I Still love the old bird, and I look at them my every chance. Charles Everett Bullard

Great Website; I have flown on two DC-3s and serviced a number of them. I am a 38 year aviation professional.I have worked in about every phase of aviation the is out there. I am an aviation historian, and have assisted and still do in helping the vintage aircraft community keepem flyin and preserve'em. I have had the privelege of flying and flying in a great number of wonderous flying machines, from a 1930 home built to a Lear Jet.
