Training. But
more specifically, aviation ground and flight training. If your situation has to
do with finding that missing piece for the training solution that you need, then
you have come to the right place. We feel so strongly about this topic that we
have devoted a complete TRAINING NETWORK section of this web site just to this
subject. We want to help you, the aviator find the best way to quickly and
efficiently find the best solution for almost any aviation training situation.
That training may be completed with us, or together we may determine that
another person or organization is more suited to help you best. In any case, we
are committed to helping you find the aviation solution that is the best for you
and your aviation situation! There is a solution for your training situation.
The AV NET can help you find it!
If
you choose to visit our facility here in Atlanta, Ga, you will quickly find that
we will work very hard with you on a one on one basis each day while you are
here. If there is a checkride involved in your training program, we will go with
you to the checkride. If one is required, your checkride is already scheduled
and set on the calendar before you ever even leave to come and train with us. We
work hard in training because we know that we have an appointment to keep. We
also work hard in training
because we know that hard work in training makes for
a smooth checkride later. Most importantly, hard work in training now will make
for the smooth and almost effortless handling of real life emergencies,
abnormals, or in flight events as they come up during the course of normal
flying.
Time
We don’t waste any! Our training facility is located at a non-towered
general aviation airport, so we fly in all reasonable weather, IMC or not, windy
or not. We conduct approaches at any one of several uncontrolled fields that are
served with ILS, VOR, NDB, and GPS approaches. When possible, we conduct
practice approaches while on an actual IFR clearance and in IMC conditions. For
the tail wheel training, we intentionally travel to the closest runway with the
most direct crosswind! We have 8 airports within a few minutes flight,, so we
can train on runway 03, 05, 06, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 21, 23, 24, 28, 30, 31,
32, 33, or 36! It’s all about safety. We feel that if you are here for tail
wheel training, you need to fly in challenging conditions as well as the nicer
days. We are generally not wind limited. If we knew that you were only going to
fly on no wind days from grass runways using the three point landing, we
wouldn’t be quite so concerned.
SCHEDULE
We have one. And we do not start any training course that we cannot quickly
complete while you are here. All of our training is guaranteed, and we provide a
written price quote on the complete cost of your training before you ever even
arrive. That means that we promise that you when you leave, you will be done.
And you will know right down to the penny exactly how much it is going to cost.
There are no additional costs. Most of our courses are two day courses, but they
can be as long as 7 days, depending upon the amount of time that we need. In any
case, all courses always include a full and complete written price quote. Our
price quote always includes your full use of all accommodations, ground
transportation, hangar space for your airplane, one on one ground and flight
instruction, and all the required paperwork and recommendations. Our
accommodations include full private facilities in our training center, satellite
TV, high speed internet access, and free local telephone. By training at our
location, with a set schedule, and a full time dedicated instructor, we are able
to maximize your efficiency and minimize your distractions. We have found that
with a schedule and a goal already set, we are able to keep you focused on the
training, the goal, and the solution that you are looking for. If we can help
you, we think that you will find that you actually enjoy the training, and we
know you will enjoy that new certificate or rating when it is all done and
complete. And when your training is complete, we always try to save an evening
out for a small celebration dinner. You worked hard, you deserve it!
Congratulations, and dinner is on us!
There are three areas of training that we offer at our facility.

IQT INITIAL QUALIFICATION TRAINING
INITIAL QUALIFICATION training is that training that is necessary to start,
finish, and complete any FAA issued airman certificate or rating, or knowledge
test. The FAA has addressed the issues of eligibility, aeronautical knowledge,
flight proficiency, and aeronautical experience in the Federal Aviation
Regulations associated with any of these courses. We call these training courses
INITIAL courses. We offer 2 IQT courses. They are ACT, or Airman Completion
Training, and ART, or Additional Required Training.
ACT AIRMAN COMPLETION TRAINING
|
YOUR SITUATION: You have been working on your _______________ certificate or
rating for a long time. You just can’t seem to get it done. It is too long
between training flights, and in your situation, you keep changing instructors.
You feel like you need to quit wasting time and money and get this thing done.
Is there a good solution? |
Yes. We can complete any IQT / ACT training listed below, usually in just a
few days. While we are not a flight school, we are experts at the “finish up” process.
Flight schools can often tend to do well in being able to get aviators to start
a certificate or rating project. They just often expand training out too long
over time. The customer can become frustrated, and the flight school loses sight
of the fact that the whole reason for starting this project in the first place
was so that it could be finished!
We
are completion experts. When you visit us for training, you have our attention.
We focus on safety, completion, and building a better aviator out of you. Here
are some of the ACT courses that we can help you with solutions for.

YOUR SITUATION: You have been working on your ___________ written exam for a
long time. You just can’t seem to get it done. You have a hard time with the
books, and there are distractions. There is no good place to study, and there is
no one to explain those crazy diagrams in person. Is there a good solution? |
Yes. The FAA calls the program a “home study” program under FAR 61.65(a),
61.97(a), 61.105(a), or 61.125(a) We know better. There is no study at your
home. We know what you have in your home. You have 3 TV’s, 2 phone lines, a cell
phone, a dog, a family and 2.4 kids. We can tell you from this web page why you
have not completed your airman knowledge test. It’s because there is no home
study in your home. We are experts in all the FAA exams and can help you
properly prepare for the exam that you need, usually in just a few days. We know
everything there is to know about weight and balance, performance, systems,
weather, and the E6-B computer (electronic or mechanical). We can place you in
our environment where we make it our responsibility to eliminate the
distractions, and to coach you on the material. We will schedule your written
test, help you prepare for it, and complete any of the KTT training listed
below, usually in just a few days. When your ground instruction is complete and
you are ready for the test, we will go with you to the exam site and wait while
you take the exam.

ART ADDITIONAL REQUIRED TRAINING
|
YOUR SITUATION: The FAA and the FAR’s require you to obtain and document the
fact that you received additional training for a specific situation. Is there a
good solution? |
Yes. We can complete any IQT / ART training listed below, usually in just a
few days. If you already have an existing pilot certificate, there are 7
specific situations that require what the FAA calls “additional training.” It is
important that you not only receive this training, but that the documentation of
this training is completed correctly and that you maintain access to this
documentation. We can complete any of the IQT / ART courses listed below,
usually in just a few days. If you have taken a written test or a flight test
and not passed, you need additional training prior to trying again. If you have
had an aircraft accident or incident, you need additional training and
instruction prior to taking this certificate re-examination oral and flight test
with the FAA.

RQT RE-CURRENT QUALIFICATION TRAINING
RE-CURRENT QUALIFICATION training is that training that the FAA has established
in order to make sure that minimum flight and currency guidelines that all
pilots must adhere to are met. There are several of them.
RFT RECENT FLIGHT TRAINING
|
YOUR SITUATION: It has been a long time since you have flown, but you
want to get back into flying again? Is there a good solution? |
Yes. We can complete any RQT / RFT training listed below, usually in just a
few days. We can use your aircraft or ours. If a significant amount of time has
gone by since you have flown, then it is even more important to do it right. A
lot has changed in aviation even in just the few recent months. We recommend
that you receive and log some excellent thorough ground and flight training
prior to returning to flight status. We will work with you to establish exactly
what you need to make you both very safe, and very legal.

IRT INSURANCE REQUIRED TRAINING
|
YOUR SITUATION: Your insurance agent has informed you that you need
additional ground and/or flight instruction every year, or some type of extra
training in order to keep your aircraft hull and liability policy in effect. Is
there a good solution? |
Yes. This insurance required training is important. Although often over and
above what the FAA requires, insurance companies have the ability to stipulate
any condition that they desire in order to attempt to lower their annual losses.
This training becomes required as soon as your policy becomes effective and is
specified in your aviation insurance policy. It is important to complete any IRT
as required. It is also important to obtain and maintain the proper
documentation in case of a loss. Insurance companies have become very aggressive
in subrogation for recovery of losses where they are able to assert any
non-compliance with the terms of the policy on your part. We can provide both
the training and the required documentation for most any insurance need, and in
most any aircraft. IRT training always includes a full and complete set of fresh
signoffs like RQT / RFT / PIC and RQT / RFT / IPC, etc. wherever possible.

AQT ADVANCED QUALIFICATION TRAINING
ADVANCED QUALIFICATION TRAINING is that training that may not actually be
required by either the FAA or by insurance, but may be desirable to you as a
pilot for your own enhanced safety.
SCT SPECIAL CURRICULUM TRAINING
|
YOUR SITUATION: You have a special situation. You think that there may be
some real future benefits in obtaining some advanced training now. Before you
actually need it. Is there a good solution? |
